Thin Ribbed Scarf

Begun: December 28, 2006
Finished: December 30, 2006
Yarn: Lion Brand - TLC Essentials (Falling Leaves), ~.5 skeins
Needles: 8
Pattern: 22 stitches across, K2 P2 ribbing. Edge stitches slipped.
Notes: Made from the yarn left over from the hat I just did. Also came out well, though I think I would have made it longer if I had had more yarn. It’s 2.5 inches wide and 44 inches long now. Nice and thick because of the ribbing. I used the basic knit bind-off on every stitch, and I should have combined it with the basic purl bind-off. As it is, the edge flares out.

ABC Hat

Begun: December 27, 2006

Finished: December 28, 2006
Yarn: Lion Brand - TLC Essentials (Falling Leaves), ~.5 skeins
Needles: 8
Pattern: Alison's Beginner's Cap. I made it a little shorter than the pattern says - I think I did 6 inches of stockinette where it says to do 6.5-7.
Notes: My first effort at knitting in the round! I think it came out quite well. This hat has looked good on everyone that’s tried it on. Also, it’s colors are perfect for me and go well with my new coat.

Scarf for Mum (Christmas 06)

Begun: December 23, 2006

Finished: December 26, 2006
Yarn: Moda Dea - Cache (2765 Smartie), ~3.3 skeins
Needles: 8
Pattern: Stockinette with three stitches of garter on each side and a few rows of garter at the beginning and end.
Notes: The end edge came out much neater than the beginning edge. The messiness is partially on account of the yarn. Also, it was all tubed up until I ironed it between two damp washcloths.
